we recently got a couple new chickens and one of them was the one every other chicken picked on. All of the tail feathers are gone and the whole rear end looks sore. We are keeping it separated from the others via fence but I’m not sure if there is anything else we should do to help the healing process.

You made the right decision to separate her for now, because chickens are attracted to red wounds or blood and can cannibalize her backend in just a few hours. They can be brutal.

A lot of factors need to be looked at to determine the answer to the question :
Why is she being picked on?

Is there not enough space?

Are they not consuming enough protein?

Is her backend in need of a good cleaning/trimming?

blukote is a spray dye/disinfectant that you can get at a tractor or farm store. It’s messy but works well.
It will Camouflage her red area while the new feathers are growing in.

When we got her she was in a small pen being sold with 15 to 20 others in it. She seems in good health after watch the last week and you can see the start of feathers coming in but still looks scabby and sore.

She needs a little spa therapy.

A nice warm soak (15 minutes) in a dishpan or sink filled up to her tummy with Epsom salts added to the water 1/4 cup or so...
Rinse well. Pat or blow dry on low.
Honestly You would see improvement in a couple of days.

If you feel there’s any infection brewing, antibiotic ointment or veterycin spray gel.

Keep a close eye on her (meaning inspect at least once daily) for fly strike, which would be devastating at this point.

Also boost her protein intake with some scrambled eggs, canned tuna, Greek yogurt.
Feather growth takes a LOT of protein.
