Not sure whats going on

Right now infection caused by internal laying/egg peritonitis is my leading supposition. I'm going to get antibiotics today to see if i can help with the swelling. I'm hoping that that is not what it is and she will bounce back, but if she doesn't improve, i'll be forced to cull her. Thanks for all your help. I'll update when anything changes

By the end of yesterday, her comb was laying over and she was catatonic. She stood in the exact same spot for a few hours and then laid in another for several more without moving around much. I have given her duramycin 10. She is moving around more and her comb has perked up. I'm not sure what this means at all, if anything. Just an interesting change.

Just an update for anyone watching. After a few days of separation, Big Red has been reintroduced to the flock. I set her out yesterday afternoon to scrounge from the ground and see how she acted. She went right back to how she had been before any illness, back as queen of the roost. She was scratching and eating normally and drinking plenty of water. I thought about pulling her out of the flock again for the evening but she put herself into the coop at dusk, something she wasn't capable of doing herself a few days ago. Optimistic about her future!
