Hello all my brahma is loosing a lot of feathers, I thought she may be moulting
my husband sprayed them for mites yesterday, they had been itching
and was pulling out the feathers. and we noticed she had hardly no feathers on her stomach
she is not as active as before, I seen her stretching and sitting in one spot for a while.
She is still eating..
I have been adding oil of oregano in the water for health and I have a banton that had EYP and almost died. This started on 3/18/17 I brought the bantan to the vet. But since I have been
adding the oil of oregano and one aspirin in a gallon of water she is doing good.I do not use the oregano or aspirin every day about once or twice a week . My bantam does not lay any longer.but she is still alive and feeling good, which makes me happy.the vet told me she would die.
I feed them organic egg laying pellets, with organic protein with a little bit of flax seed.
the braham is a year and a half. I give them a little of organic scratch every other day.
also water melon about twice a week. they have a large fenced in yard to run every day.
I clean the coop every day. I do not believe she had not been laying for a few days.
she has a sister that looks just like her. Some times I cannot tell.
when my husband sprayed for mites he also sprayed the coop. and changed he bedding.
I am trying to give as much information as I can think of. I seen her puffed out a few times and she had changed her place to roost, she is my her self. Please I need some advise I would greatly
appreciate it.
