Hello everyone!
In the past you have been wonderful with all your great words of wisdom on my silkies, polish, and giant cochins. But today I actually have a problem with my Tom turkey. I am hoping you can help even tho he is not a chicken!
My BIG baby is not wanting able to walk. He does try to get up, but he just can not. This started about 2 days ago when I thought it was weird that he would not come in and eat. My hubby said that maybe he is just busy and will come in later, this was 2 nites ago. Yesterday morning, I seen him laying in the yard with the chickens, so I really thought nothing about it... he was sun bathing (I thought). Last night he was still not in to eat, but it was very late and I really needed to get to bed. This morning he was still in the yard, laying in the same place. I went up to him to see what the problem may be and his legs looked splayed under him. I tried to help him up and see if he would walk, but a no go! I did get him up and in the chicken coop and let me tell you this was not easy! I had set him next to food and water and had to leave for work.
I know the last time I asked for help it was in regards to my silky roo acting very strange and not really wanting to walk. I was given the advice of selenium, vitamen e and I do believe vitamen c, I have all of what was needed at home. Is this the same problem possibly with him? He eats just about anything and everything he wants, but he gets corn, grit and egg layer... he really picks and chooses what he wants.
Can anyone help?
