Hi there, welcome to BYC! :frow

Beautiful pet quality Silkies you got there. :love

Did you have a question about something going on with them? Why are you doing an epsom salt bath? Please describe any symptoms or concerns, how long it's been going on, and age of the bird.
The bird is 11 months old and it feels like she has a compacted egg but I’m not sure but just in case I have her an epsom salt bath

Egg binding is deadly fast, and the birds aren't usually able to pass any poo either.

Is she passing droppings? How often does she usually lay eggs and when was her last one?

Is she staying in the nest? Making any noises? Eating and drinking regularly? Interested in treats? Walking weird? Or what are the symptoms she is showing that have you worried, please?

During egg binding the magnesium absorbs through the skin during an epsom salt bath which can support muscles. Drinking epsom water may cause diarrhea. Small chunks of tums also provide immediate (fast source) calcium to the muscles. The warmth of the bath may aid in relaxation. Usually the hen should be placed in a dark nest afterwards. Just for informational purposes.
