I have been separating breeds for hatching. ALL BROWN eggs shown here are Rhode Island Whites. Most are Rhode Island Whites used to crossed with Rhode Island Reds to hatch sex-link chicks. However if you look at the bottom left side you will notice a trend of much darker eggs(they all have "X" on them to mark them). These are Rhode Island White eggs as well but these eggs are all from a specific group that are separated so I can replenish my full blooded Rhode Island Whites. They all eat the same diet except the darker egg RIW's are confined inside and the lighter colored eggs are using a larger outside lot as well as a inside coop. The darker eggs have a full stock RIW rooster.... the lighter eggs have a RIR rooster.
ANY THOUGHTS?
