Hi!
So I'm on day 6 of incubation with my 4 shipped ameraucana eggs.... I noticed they were funny looking at first but since I'm a rookie, I didn't do the maths.

So the situation is that I'm on day 6 and I've been rotated them with automatic egg turner every 6hours since day one.

They SEEM to all be developing (even though I don't see much in the eggs) but I would like to put all the odds on my side now... I did some reading, so today I did put the eggs with pointy side down in egg carton.... But I'm wondering if there is something else I could do... How do I rotate the eggs not that they are in that position? do I rotate at all? do I stop for a couple of day to try and have the air cell settle?

Eggs must be rotated every hour- this is crucial!! There isn’t really a method to rotating them and a hen just jiggles them around.
You are correct for storing them pointy sided down.
Can you send a picture of your incubator please, and I can help from there

A picture of the egg being candles would be excellent as well

Eggs that have a loose aircell I have not rotated the first 3 days, I had a bad one from across the country NC. It hatched out fine. The prettiest girl in the world. (didn't rotate the first 7 days.)

Hmm ok. Cross 4 different sections of the egg- and put them on their side. Change the cross facing up every hour or so
So, I put them back on their sides? I mean removing them from the carton? I thought they were ok pointing end facing down.

Sorry I'm French Canadian, I might just not understand well.

They are fine in the carton, let them settle for 2 days and then put them on their sides and rotate them every hour in the carton. It works fine in a carton.

I’ve shipped eggs and had loose air pockets, this always works for me.
