Hi

O.k. I am very new to this and really not sure how a swap works. How do you know if your eggs that you are sending are hatchable? We have PLENTY of roosters at work but my flock is a mixture of everything and every size.

Please help this newbie - it sounds like fun. I'm getting a new incubator end of week with a few eggs to play with.

Thanks!

I'm so excited! I asked for an incubator for Christmas! I'm 46 yrs old and I feel like a 5 yr old waiting for Santa!! I can't wait to swap eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, dumb question....
If I have a flock of silkies, but all different colors, are the eggs considered mutts or pure? Sometimes I get some wild colored silkies because even if I separate the colors, some of my roos are like little mating Houdinis......

Have any of your hens hatched any chicks for you? If you have rooster's then you should have fertile eggs. One way to tell is to crack open a egg and look for the bullseye!! Does not matter if they are mixed or pure, big or small......we love them all!!
