Hey sweetie I'm going to comment and say thank you.
I live in the states but am a Canadian Citizen. I moved here approx 7 years ago.
I know your son just graduated Basic this summer. At the moment my Daughter is doing her MO, and yes she is a Canadian citizen as well, and joined the US army!

I used to get up into Calgary a couple of times a year, I rode in the Stampede a couple of times back in the day too. One of my other favorite places was Thunder Bay, I even have the online video cameras from there in my favorites so I can watch it every now and then. I would love to live there for awhile, and I've thought of doing it now that Steven will be leaving. Congrats to your daughter, I think that is wonderful!!

Oh Boy! ... I grew up in Calgary. Lived their most my life ... I was born in Ontario... lol North Bay, moved to Calgary at the age of 4.
It's funny it's the two places you mentioned.

Wow,, that is a really interesting coincidence! I love those two places!
On the towel subject I have a question: I've found some really pretty towels for some of my swaps but on the winter theme towels I'm wondering what everyone else considers winter themed? I thought I had a pretty neat idea but my mom walked in and commented on the really pretty Christmas towels I had out! Now I'm not sure my winter theme ideas are the same as other's winter themes! Give me some help here!!

I'm not sure anyone elses Idea of winter theme is. But I think...
anything non Christmas colored (IE. red & green) or with the words Season's Greetings , Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday's on it.

yes i would have to agree.....maybe something with snowflakes etc on it...

I was thinking snowmen and snowflakes, things like that. They are hard to find with no mention of holidays on them though but I've found some cute things I think will go over well. What about poinsettias? To me they are beautiful plants and not just for Christmas.

I agree they are a beautiful plant. It will need to be a judgment call hun. Do what you feel is best, I'm sure whoever receives them will be HAPPY!

I think its the thought that counts if you think look like a winter theme then stick with every person thinks differently A snowman might remind them of a Christmas past just go with you think and i am sure the person getting the towels will love them.
