I'm not convinced yet.

I can't wait! So are there ever goose eggs or turkey eggs in the swaps? I know they're more valuable eggs, but I was thinking maybe someone would have mutts of them and want to swap.

(They're not laying this time of year, are they?)

We want turkeys and geese next year. We've got guineas, ducks, and chickens right now. Did quail, but those crazies are suicidal and it was too traumatic for my daughter to go out to feed them and find one or two kicked off during the night. So much fun to get all the variety for a simple swap of fertile eggs!

I'd take alpaca eggs.

Then I could spin and knit with their "feathers."

I would love some turkey or goose eggs too(not sure where I would put them but..

). Can't do the alpaca eggs and Phil has given me some seriously dirty looks when I showed him the emu eggs for sale on ebay, lol.

I got a turkey egg the other day, and I saw one of my 6 mo RPs squatting. But it will probably be a while before i'm getting enough to send anybody.

Yeah, 'normally' turkeys and geese don't lay this time of year, but it does happen. I don't know if anyone has ever gotten turkey eggs from these swaps, but I did get some goose eggs this past spring from one of the monthly swaps. So it does happen, just depends on how stingy the swappers are
