November Hatch-A-Long (2014)

[Antiquity]

My second pipper pipped right smack dab in the middle too. No where near the air cell...lol He's doing fine in there from what I can tell. I think he's black and yellow and looks like he has a huge beak....lol The other 6 have pipped exactly where they needed to. Only one has a tiny hole that you can detect anything the other 5 have good size pips, but they haven't pipped out enough to knock the shell from the hole so I can see anything. This sitting on our hands is for the birds!!!

I shouldn't complain though, because we don't actually officially hit day 20 for another hour, and I didn't really expect anything until tonight so I'm lucky that they are even this far already. Time to go sit and wait some more. Good luck everyone!!!!!

What I find funny is that chick #1 was completely upside down in her egg and she STILL managed to get into the air cell. I don't know what kind of funny positioning this one must be in that he didn't even make it near the air cell.

BTW: Little Peeper appears to be female and has been officially named Ringo, as she got by with a little help from her friends.

You all are getting me worried that my chicks are going to pip on the wrong end! LOL Lockdown starts tonight. I have 20 eggs left since I lost all the legbars and there were 7 others that were not fertile. Still hoping to hatch out about a dozen so I can keep a few to add to my laying flock.

That's funny, Murphy's Law runs rampant at our house! I just wish when he came for dinner he would help clean up the dag gone dishes!

I decided to live stream my incubator so that my sister in law can watch. It's

I received my order of "15 Legbar eggs" today. Sadly, the legbars stopped laying just before my order, so we got four. He asked what else I wanted... I want legbars... Lol... So, I asked for a surprise, maybe laced? How about rainbow eggs!

FINALLY have an external pip.... Going to pick up kids from Grandma's... Hope they get to see this! Racking my nerves bad!!!
