Greetings from Virginia! I'm pretty new to chickens (I got my first two hens last summer), and I absolutely love them! They're so neat, I'm now up to ten chickens and two chicks. I hatched the two chicks myself, and there's one more egg in the incubator hatching as we speak! Owning chickens has been so much fun. I hope to start showing them soon, too!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? See above, I guess.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Thirteen, including the three chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
- One red star
- Four bantam cochins (three are frizzled)
- One silkie
- One marans
- One buff orpington
- One jersey giant
- Two sizzle chicks
- One mess of a frazzle chick!
- One rescued hen! I have no idea what breed she is. She's blind in one eye, and apparently white due to a recessive gene.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I usually searched the web when I had a problem with my chickens, and BYC was always one of the first search results!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I live with my mom and sister and some other pets. I've got two cats and a duck! I don't have an occupation, as I'm still in high school!
