Novice question about ducklings and weather

Last year I inherited 2 mallards and a little over a week ago she hatched out 7 ducklings. It's supposed to be very rainy this weekend and in the 40s. There are shelters but I've never seen them used. I'm a little worried about them being unable to keep warm since the parents love waddling around in the rain so much.
I've had chickens for years so I'm more used to that.

I would not worry about them too much. Mamma will take care of them like in the wild.
