I went to lockdown on Monday. They started hatching at 3 today. When can I open lid and take chicks out?. As they dry? Or wait till all hatch? How long can hatched ones stay in there?

the ones that have hatched can go without food and water for 1-2 days, if you keep opening the incubator to take chicks out it messes with the temp and humidity in the incubator, so wait until most have hatched and they have completely dried off

That is a personal decision that should be based on your humidity and comfort level. Many people wait until the end of hatch to remove, other's wait until they are dry and fluffy and still some of us remove them as they hatch. If you have adequate humidity and regain the humidity after opening, you can do so whenever you are comfortable. I do not agree with chicks not getting at least water for 2-3 days, so I would never leave them in that long, it's a personal opinion. I actually remove my chicks as they hacth and become active in my bator. Once they are moving around the bator they go to the brooder where one side is heated to around 100 for the first couple days until they are hatched and dry and then it goes to 95F.
