Now I Am Mad !!!!!!

Yesterday I was very sad.

I woke up to 1 dead turkey and two seriously injured to the point that I had to cull. I am so upset with myself over this.

FOXES!!!! I lost my three favorite turkeys to FOXES. Got them right thru the fence.

I know, I know....... the pen wasn't built like Fort Knox like the chicken coop. I am partially to blame. I will use this as a learning experience and not let my guard down again.

But right now I am MAD!!!! I want REVENGE!!!

I am thinking bow and arrows.

Any Ideas????

do you have a dog? do the neighbors have a dog? buy rent or borrow a dog to mark your property.

Gamo makes an airgun that shoots as well as any .22 rifle. 1650 feet per second, uses a .177 caliber pellet. It even comes with a scope. Get them at Cableas, Bass Pro or the like. It's a "big boy's BB gun" Same effect as a bow, ie; silent death, but 'pinpoint" accuracy. and just as quiet.

We have turkeys too along with chickens. But we do not have a dog and what the hubby and 10 year old son does is when they are down by the coops they will pee there. Literally marking their spot by the turkeys coop and we have not had a problem with fox's getting in their coop. I know it sounds gross. But obviously it is working. We have lots of predators running around at night here. And our turkeys perch on a board above there fencing.
