Hello, my name is Manuel, 49 year old male. I've been thinking about building a coop and keeping some homing pigeons after a recent event that made me realize that I need to do the things that make me happy.
When I was a kid in San Jose, CA, our neighbors/friends raced pigeons and i loved to watch them fly around the neighborhood.
I'm not really interested in racing them, just want to watch them fly, release them a few miles away every once in a while.
I currently have a dog named Red, 13, two cats - bitsy, and frankie, both 1, and I will be inheriting my mom's African Grey Congo, Katie, 13. I love all animals but birds have a special place in my heart.
I'm here in the hopes of learning from everyone's knowledge.

Hello and welcome! We just saw a good sized flock of pigeons fly today, I can see why you'd enjoy having some. I hope you can put a flock together and that you will take pics!
