Now Leg mites :(

ok, so when it rains it pours is the saying

now have leg mites on some of them....I did seven dust them and coop which i read helps along with vasiline, so do i put sevin dust on legs then do vasiline, make a paste or how to do this?? I also have vaporub I can mix with vasiline...please keep in mind i have 40 birds and need the easiest way to do this!!

Either Vaseline or a little Sevin mixed into Vaseline. Washing the legs first, scrubbing gently with a toothbrush will help speed things along, if you want to tackle it. You will have to do it several times. I wouldn't put Vicks on them. Some have reported success with Pam spray, which might be easier, if they will hold still for it. There are other remedies as well but nothing simple, do it once and they're gone, that I know of.

ok, I will get a bowl of warm water, toothbrush, what soap?? I have dial.....would a few drops of bleach help?

mix up some vaseline/sevin dust

scrub them down, dry them, lube them up
