Ok, she's now a week and two days old and her feathers are definitely longer and her tail feathers are coming in. I'm just wondering, being that there are no definite guesses with this one, is there a chance, even though they are supposed to be pure bred , that she is some form of cross/hybrid? I'll come across a chick on the web that looks similar, but there's always something that throws it off. I was thinking Salmon Faverolles but no feather feet. I then found a light sussex, but their feathers are more black and white. Could she be an EE even though they are supposed to be brown egg layers, maybe just thrown in for good sport? lol The coloration is a kind of brownish red with the black outlining. SO CONFUSING!!!
