Congrats on the first egg - generally speaking, things will be a bit sporadic at first as all the moving parts involved in egg production get up and running. Not only will the frequency of eggs vary, but so will the size. What breed is your bird? The breed will play into what sort of production you can expect from this bird.

It's pretty random and weird when they first start laying. Like getting rubber eggs or double yolk eggs or no eggs. And sometimes they skip a few days too. But at some point they get regular and the eggs get bigger.

She laid again at 930 this morning! I cracked open both the eggs I had so far to eat and they were normal! now the other 2 black sex link and 2 barred rocks need to start laying. I'm shocked she started laying too. The day we got our first egg it was 90+ out.
