Now what do I do with the eggs?

Hi everyone!

I bought 6 fertilized eggs for a hen I thought was broody but, she evidently isn't. She layed on the eggs for a few minutes the first day & I kept her in a hutch by herself last night & when I left her she was on the eggs but today she wouldn't sit them at all. Now I don't know what to do with the eggs! I don't have an incubator & honestly I am too poor to buy one. Can any one tell me if or how I can save the eggs? I took them out this evening & put them in a bowl on top of my heater which isn't on but with the pilot on it stays a bit warm.

You can build an incubator for a reasonable price. Even out of stuff around your house (which is what I did but had too strong a bulb and melted the darned thing).

Sadly I didn't have most of the stuff so instead of buying it someone from another place put their hand up to incubate them for $1 each. Keeping fingers crossed that some of them live!

I'll actually be incubating some eggs for a friend of mine in exchange of keeping two of the chicks.
