Now What? New Silkie Rooster and lots of questions

Thanks again! (I love the advice I get on this forum!) It looks like things have settled down out at the coop. The girls let Chuckie share goodies with them, and he moves through the flock without any stink eye or chest thumping.

Chuckie has claimed the bottom left nest box for sleeping. He tucks himself in every night. It's sweet, and probably actually has helped with the integration since he's not interested in competing for the primo roosting spots.

Since he's been with the girls for a week now, I'm going to let them all out this evening for an hour or two of fun and games. I know the girls are itching to get back to all that lovely greenery in the yard ..

I have raised all of my rooster since they were born and they let me pick them up and pet them all the time. I have spent alot of time with them so they know my voice. They prefer to roost on the ground or I have roosts that are 3 ft high. Most of the time they will be on the ground. One of the previous posts were right..you will have to get a silkie hen for him. He need someone his size!!!!
