Thanks again! (I love the advice I get on this forum!) It looks like things have settled down out at the coop. The girls let Chuckie share goodies with them, and he moves through the flock without any stink eye or chest thumping.
Chuckie has claimed the bottom left nest box for sleeping. He tucks himself in every night. It's sweet, and probably actually has helped with the integration since he's not interested in competing for the primo roosting spots.
Since he's been with the girls for a week now, I'm going to let them all out this evening for an hour or two of fun and games. I know the girls are itching to get back to all that lovely greenery in the yard ..
