Now What?!

Ok so i'm just loving this chicken thing! They are so darn cute and busy and they are roaming all over and running to me for grapes and raisins. I have 5 ladies, or so I thought. One of them has started making a very odd noise and has saddle feathers. This chicken is the biggest of all and has a pretty self reliant air about itself. So... Im not really sure what to do now. I've read about not having enough hens for the rooster to mate with and I really dont want to go the "chick" route.
