What color are you looking for. Are you looking for the White and the "Carmel" colors mixed together? That color would be Porcelain. Or are you looking for the color Carmel? That would be the color Buff. DLook at our site in the desk top version and it will tell you colors as well as price and quantities. It also lets you know that our shipping minimum for day old chicks up to 5 weeks old is 6 chicks. That is for their well being while being shipped.
Shipping for 6 chicks at day old to a week old is $35.71. Please read our Shipping Policy on our web site before ordering!! Please let us know if you have any questions. Also let us know what colors you are interested in. We will not have any day old chicks for another 4-5 weeks. The next hatch due out in 1 week have all been sold. We have a big shipment going to Canada out of that hatch and a lot if pre orders.

How old do the chicks need to be before you can tell if they are male or female?

It just depends on the quality of the chick. Sometimes you can tell as early as 4-5 months of age but still sometimes at that age you are still guessing!! Sometimes it takes as long as 8 months to know for sure the sex!! Sometimes as long as until someone crows or lays an egg!! I know it sounds crazy, but ask any Silkie owner and they will tell you it's the truth!!! Even breeders like ourselves have a hard time sexing them!! Sorry, we wished we could tell a lot sooner as well!!
