NPIP tested flock.... How does one become NPIP certified?

Does the state vet have to come out to test the flock?

I think if you simply google NPIP you will find a link that will give you a link to the correct contact for every state. Here in Colorado it is through the university.
Here the cost is minimal and very low aggravation. I was glad I did it, mostly because it gives me better access to the Dr.s at the University. It is also reassuring to have the cert. I intend to ship eggs and chicks next year so it is important to have the cert. It is also a good thing if you want to show, most shows will be OK with the NPIP cert.
