Hello I recentley took some of my chickens to auction and they did NPIP blood test on some of them it was required now that I did that does that mean that my flock is NPIP certified ?

from Kansas. I am not sure I think there is paperwork you have to fill out and you have to have your flock tested.

I agree with Katy. We had to contact the person in charge of that program and he in turn contacted the state vet in our area and set an appt with us. I'm guessing some states are different where some will test all your birds and some just a precentage!! You also get a NPIP #. Good luck!!
 
When you take your birds to auctions, there usually be testers there, particularly if there is a factility near the state border. Its a one time shot at the auction to make sure the birds are sold free of typhoid and pullorum.

If you want your flock to be NPIP certified, you would have to get a tester to come out and test your flock and then you get paperwork to be certified.
