NR360 riser attachment affect incubator temperature/humidity?

I've been thinking about getting a riser attachment like this for the Nuture Right 360 incubator, mainly so I can lift the lid if needed without ducklings falling out or putting themselves in the way when I try to re-close it. Would this affect the temperature or humidity of the incubator, since it creates a bigger space inside?

According to the website, it does not affect temp, and humidity. I also view that such a small elevation is not significant to affect the amount of interior space to maintain in temp, and humidity.

I have never used that incubator, no experience with it. That is a forced air, I don't think that ring will change airflow. The relationship between the thermostat and the heating element has an effect on temperature fluctuations inside. What that means is the longer it takes the heating element to warm up the thermostat the more heat is put into the incubator per cycle. That's a lot more important in a still air than a forced air. I don't think raising the lid 1-1/2" will affect that in the 360 since it is forced air. And I agree with Rich, the additional volume of air should not be a problem in maintaining temperature and humidity.

As long as that maintains a good seal so you don't have air leakage at the two connections I don't see any significant problems. That seal would be my one concern.

Thank you! I hadn't noticed that they said they tested it for temperature and humidity. It does have great reviews so it sounds like others haven't had problems with the seal.
