I'm looking into breeding goats, Nubians seem to be very popular in my area and after having a buck as a pet I have absolutely fallen in love with the breed. I would like to breed them, but do not want to milk all of my does, so I simply not do anything and let there milk dry up by itself, or will they become engorged?

You can let them dry up after they wean their kids. But DO keep an eye on whether they are becoming engorged. If they are, milk them out a bit to relieve pressure (do not completely empty, because that signals to their body to produce that much milk again). It can take a while if they are a heavy producer. But since you've never had goats, you really should start small and work your way up as you learn.

i only plan to get 1 or 2 does to start with, until i can gain more experience! Right now we have 6 wethers.
