Nugget laid her first egg!

Well I don't know how many she's laid in her lifetime but since she has been with me the is the first. I'm very proud of her. She did a little egg song and then immediately went back to eating. Haha

Although the egg itself doesn't feel like a typical egg? I think she needs more calcium since the shell was rather leathery.

Congrats. That first egg, even if it's maybe the second time around, is still very special.

I always have crushed calcium available free will in a small feeder. They don't eat much of it, but they do eat some. Crushed egg shells works well, too. I will crush up egg shells and dump it in a feeder pan with some chicken scratch and everything seems to get eaten.
