They also had a warning about putting your incubator on the floor because there's "too much CO2," as well. Well, I put mine on my floor.
I ended up just cutting out an 8" thick piece of styrofoam and dropping this incubator in, being careful not to block the water intake or ventilation.
I dont understand why companies would not put a thin layer of insulation around their plastic incubators... it's ridiculous.
In other news, one time I hatched chickens with a thermometer, light bulb, and tray of water in a styrofoam cooler. Every time we remembered, one of us would rotate the eggs. Man that cooler smelled bad after that, but we still hatched like 50%. Lol.
