Walnut has been pied for about 18 hours and has been wiggling and chirping but has not zipped yet. Should I try to assist yet?

Personally I would if he hasn’t made any progress at all, but it’s up to you, trust instinct

I opened up above the air sell and caused a little bit of bleeding so I stuck him back in the incubator and I woke up in the middle of the night and SURPRISE 4chicks had hatched including walnut! You can’t really tell what eggs all the chicks came from! except for Walnut and Filbert. There is one more egg with a pip and my fingers are crossed ! I will post some pictures in the morning.

There are some pictures of the six chicks.Pistachio is the one bye itself the others aside from Walnut I can only guess!

Walnut is a boy I think because he is a golden comet Easter eager mix and he is mostly white with two stripes of brown down his back. Walnut is the only chick who hatched that is not a silkie.

I love Walnut! I don't think golden comet/EE is a sexlink cross though, so Walnut could still be a pullet. Time will tell.
