Nutrena Gamebird Feed for chicks ??

First off one of the ingredients is artificial color. Why is there artificial color in feed? I will never buy Nutrena brand anything again just because of that.


But..
I have some chicks hatching in a couple days is it alright to feed to baby chickens?

From what I can find about other brands it should be ok. I ground it small and put it out for the chicks who were just born so probably won't be eating for a couple days anyways.
