Nutrena layer feed okay in winter?

Hey I got some buff geese that were born around Easter and I’m wondering if it would hurt to give them layer feed even though they haven’t laid eggs yet. The feed is 17% protein and has about 45 ppm of niacin thanks for your help.

For temporary that’s fine if it’s all you have butNutrena All flock would be much better for them they are still young and growing and like you said , and not laying eggs. Just give a dish of crushed or flaked oyster shell on the side for when they do start laying eggs.
I used to feed mine nutrena all flock But now I get Kalmbach duck and goose feed delivered from Chewy.

What is the best way to keep the geese away from the ducks because they don’t like eating without the ducks even when they can see each other.
Is it better to give the ducks all flock but they don’t like oyster shell.

I have the same issue with my ducks, them not liking oyster shell. I started mixing some oyster shell in with their feed everyday with water right next to their bowl, they’re usually in such a rush to gobble it down that they swallow most of it before they notice I snuck in those nasty shells.
I also feed their own eggshells back to them after they’ve been boiled or baked, those they eat willingly
