Like egghead said, what did you use to see that the temp or humidity was off?

The 360 keeps going to 04 and I have three hydrometers and temp and they are all different. I have eggs in there now and lockdown will be on Sun.. Just upset about the other chicks that just died for no reason...from the hova bator.Like egghead said, what did you use to see that the temp or humidity was off?
This is unrelated to the original post, but If they all hatched, then it couldn't be the Hova Bators fault, could it? Could be bacterial infection or malnutrion or genetic defects. I think I would bleach the styrofoam before using again since the styrofoam is harder to sterilize than plastic or glass.I just hatched in the hova bator and all 4 chicks just up and died
in the brooder after a couple hours...no ryme or reason. I've hatched tons of chicks...this is baffeling.
Calibrate them. Hygrometers are easy to calibrate. Thermometers are a little more trouble. You don't have to have an adjustment on them, you just need to know how far they are off percentage wise. The 360 keeps going to 04 and I have three hydrometers and temp and they are all different
have two digital and two analog. You can't change them or some used to have screws to adjust, these dont. Just getting tired of amazon crap. Are the hygrometers and thermometers analog or digital? If they are analog and all reading different then they need re-calibrated individually if they are digital if it were me they would be going in the trash.
I think I would stick to bleach water. Probably more effective down in the styrofoam pores.I sterilize bators with colloidal silver, kills all bacteria and viruses. I thought #4 was gonna die but it's hanging in there..
What did it read?I tried the calibration with the salt and water and left over a day and it never went to 75 percent. read all kinda of docs on how to.
Exactly! You don't have to have an adjustment on them, you just need to know how far they are off percentage wise.
I bought one of these and never looked back.have two digital and two analog. You can't change them or some used to have screws to adjust, these dont. Just getting tired of amazon crap.
