NEVER FEED Your Chickens.... Citrus(peels or fruit) declines egg production. Spoiled meat. Meat in large quantities. Raw eggs are safe, BUT encourages them to eat their own ! Garlic and onion are safe, just be ware that if your hens eat these, you’ll have garlic- and onion-flavored eggs. Avocado. The fruit of avocado is OK for chickens to eat, but the skins and pits are slightly toxic to chickens. NO Potato peels are toxic.beans, salty food, sugary foods. Chocolate, Morning glories & daffodils.
Citrus is A-OK for chickens and does not effect egg laying at all. Ours eat it fresh from the trees in our yards and we never have a down grade in eggs laid.
im making a egg for the egg art contest, in three days it should be ready

Set Board Cover

combs can be missleading as hens have them too, pick each bird up and look at the new feather growth coming in under the first feathers they grew on their back above the tail, their second growth of pin feathers on their backs will be either pointed shinny pin feathers that look different than the bird's normal ones or they will be rounded, simple and basically the same as the other feathers, if they are pointed then you have a rooster,
