So 3 am this am I got to go out into the cold rain and fight terrible winds to rescue 2 of my RIRxGLW chicks. Somehow they managed to escape the coop and fortunately they did not wander far. They are nice n toasty back in the "grow out" pen with a warm light to keep them dry until the storm breaks hopefully some time today

I locked down 6+ NJ, 12 + CCL and 24 SF the evening of the 18th. I have chicks, pips and zips everywhere. The CCL's however do not have even one pip. I have never had ccl before. Does it take them a little longer possibly??

Soo had a bad storm last night...sheets of plywood flew off my coop like they were paper! new coop too! more work to be done during my Christmas break...
