how sweet!!
We fenced in 9 acres with 1x2 coated wire and I have 2 pens that are 50x100 and a barn with hanging cages for breeding pairs and trios (they each have plenty of room) and a 40x50 aviary for my peafowl. Both big pens and the aviary have a 12x12 coop for the birds. My husband had put a lot of work into this for me. He is a great guy. We also condition our beagles in the 9 acre inclosure. We only have 2 neighbors that we can see and neither has a dog. One did call the sheriff to come talk to me when a chicken got into her yard. We decided then that "good fences make good neighbors".Aww thats awesome! I wish I had more space so I could have more but I dont have quite enough room for more than a couple coops and runs. I let mine free range on days of good weather but am weary because most of my neighbors have dogs so I am always on patrol. There are also a lot of raccoons and opossum as well as hawks, so many things to keep an eye out for. I think squirrels are ok tho, I havent had any problems out of them yet, but I still keep an eye on them lol.
I can NOT figure out Photobucket… time to get some help from the teens.I think I'm going to drive around and take some pictures of the country so I have more to post. All my photos are on my computer and it would take a really long time to get them on my phone, then on photo bucket to post
Arrrgh!! That's the worst! I really wanted to get a new roof on the Layer run… like TODAY before it starts raining again. Not going to happen. Although I did get one hole dug by the cochin coop for the new run. YAY!!Soo had a bad storm last night...sheets of plywood flew off my coop like they were paper! new coop too! more work to be done during my Christmas break...
