NZers pros/cons on these coops

That looks like a great chicken run, with some exceptions.

I'm not sure what predators you have there, but the chicken wire they show on that won't work. You'd have to replace it with welded wire or hardware cloth. Also, an apron to stop predators from digging in.

Also, they need ventilation but not drafts, you would need to build some kind of coop for them, either inside that or attached to it. I'd build a shed coop, attached to this, and use this for a run if it was me.

Remember, you want 4 square feet (0.372 square meters) per bird in the coop, and 10 square feet (.929 square meters) in the run. So if you use this for a run, you would have room for 24 chickens and would want a coop about 9 square meters (3x3). Also, bigger is always better.

Thanks, We have a big chicken coop already but were the pen is the ground it getting yucky and it needs moving. We don't have many predators (very lucky ) only rats in winter. and use that mesh already so wont be a problem.
