Oakworms poisonous?

Does anyone know if oakworms are poisonous to chickens and ducks? The pinoaks around here are covered in oakworms! You can't walk near the trees without stepping on the worms.

I don't know, but this U.C. Davis site says that birds are natural predators (and therefore they presumably eat them), so it seems like it would probably be OK if chickens ate them?

Mine spend hours scratching in the oak leaves--I can only imagine that they eat the worms as often as they find them.
