Try a small portion of cooked and uncooked then give it to the chickens.

My chicken won't touch oatmeal either way. So good luck.

Neither.

A balanced, complete meal of age appropriate chicken feed is best.

They don't need it at all, you can make a warm mash out of their feed if you want a warm treat, oatmeal makes poops extra sticky.
