I've had my Wyandotte chicks for almost two weeks now and I've really noticed something about them. I have 28 blue laced red wyandotte bantams, 2 silver laced wyandotte standard sized and 4 gold laced wyandotte standard sized.

I've noticed that the silver and gold laced chicks are way friendlier than the blue laced reds. I'm not sure if that has something to do with them being standard sized verses bantam size or if it is the difference between blue laced reds and the gold or silver laced.

It is pretty obvious though. I'll set my hand down with some feed in it and usually at least four of the silver or golds will be there in a second, sitting in my hand and if I'm lucky one or two of the blue laced reds will come over for a bit.

That's interesting....I don't know if it has anything to do with the breed, but I've seen some people on here who have noticed friendlier birds with some breeds and not others....

Interesting! where did you get your bantam BLRW from? A hatchery or a breeder? If a breeder who!?!? WHERE!? LOL
