two things:

First I have HUGE (and atrociously annoying) Pearl grays. I started with 9, 3 male and 6 female and sold all but 1 male and 4 females. Now that people see how big and healthy these suckers are I'm getting asked if I'm selling any more- I'm not. Anyways! They were born May 5th of 2017- and day before yesterday I found two eggs, not sure if guinea eggs because I had them in with my RIRs that should be laying any day now...freeloaders... but today I found two guinea eggs! After I found the first eggs we hopped to it to get their run sorted and boom eggs in the guinea room! I didn't think they could lay until they were like a year old??!

Secondly! I have a lavender guinea pair in the feed room. She has 21 eggs in her nest and the last couple days I've been sneaking smallish chicken eggs into the nest. Last night I caught her eating a chicken egg and this morning no chicken eggs and 21 guinea eggs. Tonight I saw her tapping on each of her eggs.. I thought I was going to be able to sneak in a few chicken eggs? Also she is scattering some of the eggs- should I put them back or is she moving them out for a reason?

Sorry it's so long! I just want to know everything I can about these funky turkeys

Guineas are from dry region of Africa, and mainly do good in dry season. Some of them may begin laying early as (after five months) but mine never until they are a year old. Not all guinea mothers are good parents, some do good. some dont.
If the nest is too full of eggs, some eggs may roll away from the nest.guineas are not oscritches, they don't roll eggs out of the nest, unless its a bad egg.
