I know there are many threads related to ducks and limping, causes, cures etc in here. I just wanted a “temperature check” to make sure I’m not alone. I have six runner ducks, all females. We’ll go through streaks of perfect health no issues. Then randomly a duck will limp. Almost inevitably it seems to happen late afternoon or I see it in the evening at lockup time. I check them frequently throughout the day too. I’ll inspect feet and legs and see nothing obvious. I’ll close them up. I’ll be worried. I’ll vow to take her to the vet if no improvement the next day. I’ll pray for a miracle. And then she’ll be fine the next day. So far that’s the pattern and it’s happened like three times in the last few weeks. Do other people experience the same thing? What in the world are they doing? Bee stings? Wonky step? They have a large enclosure but it’s not rocky or anything, mostly grass. They are adorable and I love them but they give me heartburn. 🤣😅

You could give them a little durvet liquid b complex. It’s the best form of niacin with the good strong amount of it in there. Just to strengthen their legs my Ducks occasionally limp sometimes too I think it’s like an mis step and slightly twisted ankle or a tiny stick or stone Maybe they stepped on. Like humans get. They sure do a lot of running around.
