Hi, I'm Azz, and I keep winding up back here when I'm looking for pictures of chickens and fun stories.


(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family got chickens when I was about 9 years old. My Calico quickly became my best friend and tried to eat my books as I read them. I miss her very much.


(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I don't have any right now, but eventually I'll likely have them again.


(3) What breeds do you have?
None right now, but I grew up with Egyptian Fayoumis, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Golden & Silver Sebright, Araucana, Belgian Antwerp Quail, Old English banties, and the odd Black Langshan.


(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Every now and then I search for chicken pictures, and I usually wind up here among a few other places.


(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I write, crochet, and volunteer for Open Source Software projects.

What do you do with the pictures? Trying to decide which one to get?
I have decided that I am going to get the paints out and start paining chickens. (pictures of chickens, not the chickens themselves... but we'll see how it works out!

It's 'me' time. And I think a nice feathery friend might look good in the kitchen.

Welcome to Byc! I had a best friend RR when I was in middle school. and when I met my husband I found out that he had had a best friend rooster of unknown breed that was his best buddy in high school.
Makes you think, some things are just destined.
