I'm definitely going to be there - I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it. I'll be the one sitting in my car if it rains, waiting for it to stop. I'm going no matter what!

Do you know if anyone will be selling brooding equipment and bators? I think I may be tempted for some chicks, or should I go to Herzlers and just buy the stuff before hand?

...who am I kidding....LOL...it's payday this Fri.....can't......control.....myself.....must......stop.....thinking....about.....chickens.....

I know this is off-topic, but we bought a baby bunny at the VA fair (6 wks old) ...DH is NOT happy with me. I've been working tons of OT so haven't put the bunny in her new home...she's in the middle of the kitchen floor. I don't know how I caught this obsession for animals. We just moved here 3 yrs ago from CA to 11 acres. Living here is a dream come true. I've always wanted a farm so it's coming out in my middle age (45)....some women have mid-life crises, I have chicken addictions!

I've only seen feed & feeding equipment at Tractor Supply in Powhatan - does Farmville have more stuff? I want to make sure I'm prepared, since my local Herzlers closes at 12 Sat and all day Sun.

I would love it if I can stroll over there and buy everything, that would be most convenient!

You're right- this particular TSC may not have that stuff......I've never been in it. The ones in PA do have heat lamps and little feeders & chick food, so I guess I just thought they all have the same stuff.
Maybe someone who has been in the Farmville store can tell you for sure.......

The Farmville Tractor Supply has everything you'll need. Heat lamps, incubators, turners, feeders, waterers etc.

We have rabbits also. I've got New Zealands. 1 male and 1 female and 1 female I am not sure what breed. The NZ has 10 babies that are 3 weeks old today. The other female is due to have babies this week.

I'm in the same boat with my mid life crisis. We've been in Powhatan 1 year now. I have no pictures on the walls and boxes still not unpacked in the basement... BUT we've built 2 chicken coops and a run. We went from a dog and cat only to 1 goat, 3 geese, 2 ducks, countless chickens, about 100 quail, rabbits and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. LOL
