Mmmm liqour...

Hey meriruka - what is the beautiful white chicken with the brown patch on her/him? Also is it a standard or bantam? PRETTY PRETTY!

IS IT SATURDAY YET?!?! I'm so excited I might pee my pants! Ok, that was TMI, but I just can't convey how excited I am to get my first set of girls!!

YAY!!

AVandrie,
I'm told it's a Red Pile Game hen by the experts onthe "What breed is this" thread although one or two say roo. It hasn't shown any roo behavior and is quiet, wanders around minding it's own business.
They are all standard size, except the gigantic roo in the center, who is a complete sweetie. I'd love to keep him, but he seems to want my tiniest bantam in the worst way....why is it the biggest guys always go after the petite girls?

I thought only sex-sals/Red & Black stars were the only ones that could be feather sexed?
That would be great if it's possible - I would love to have some chicks of my very own! Can I take home all the chicks together in one box from different sellers, or is this a no-no? Will they pick at each other too much at that age?

I am running out of quarantine room LOL...if I can't put em' together I think I'll end up with some in the living room...bedroom....family room.....hee hee

Well, my sneaky plan is to tell DH that I'll get maybe 8 at the most, but I'm hoping I can walk away with 8 at least, and 10 at the most. I told him 8 today and he kind of baulked and said I should start off smaller, but I told him they need body heat or else they'll die!! Not entirely untrue, but a little sneaky.

Getting more and more excited!!! Weather is still looking promising!
