October egg swap---sign-ups closed.

I candled tonight and can definately see life in 4 Marans and the one surviving Olive egger. The other two Marans are just so dark I couldnt really tell so I will leave them and recheck in a week or more.

My other large group hatches this weekend and one small bunch the 5th and then these swappees hatching will be the LAST ones, before spring chick season, on the 12th!

I PROMISE!!

I will candle mine next monday. That's day 14 and it's just so much easier to do it on day 14. I toss all of the eggs that aren't viable consolidate the rest and put in more eggs.

Well, I have one empty bator and the other with just my swap eggs and a few of my own eggs. Can't get any new breeds

until I make sure I can house the others but I am still swapping, lol.

Bad news...Farrier candled the eggs I sent her and NONE are developing!

I've never had that happen before!

I want to replace her eggs but my Silver Spangled Hamburgs are molting now so all I am getting right now is Pekin Duck eggs.

Does anybody have some eggs to send to Farrier if I buy them and/or pay for shipping? I don't like the idea of my eggs doing poorly and not being able to make it right!

PM me if you do, because whatever she ends up getting, I want to keep it a surprise for Farrier....
