We bought eight chicks, four assorted red pullets and four assorted pullets. The reds are all the same size as each other and three of the yellow chicks are all the same size with black spots while one of them is half the size and has no black spots. Is she's having troubles and that is why she is smaller or is it because of the breed?

Here's the problem with TSC, in my opinion:
Typically, the employees have no idea what breeds the chicks are, so when they're picking thru them for customers they don't always go back into the correct tub.

Example: I bought what I thought (and was told) were bantam Leghorns. They looked like white Leghorns at first, but now that I've had them a few weeks they're getting really upright black tails, they're wings nearly touch the ground and some of them have really short legs. I think they're black tailed white Japanese bantams, which is fine, but they're obviously not the more production geared Leghorns I thought they were.

That could be what happened to you, because I did notice that they had some of the tiny Jap chicks in with the standard white pullets...
Good luck, I'm still trying to figure out what I've got!

So it could be possIble that the littler chick is a different breed? She also seems to be very shy and doesn't move around all too much, but doesn't seem sick at all

I just started a similar thread. I'm having the EXACT same issue as you are as far as the ages of the chicks. I was told they were both 1 week old but when they were brought to my house (someone purchased them for me that I trust) there is a significant size difference and one is supposedly an Ameracauna (the tiny one) and the other is a Wyandotte. I'm freaking out because they are brooding with my two week old Australorps and while I heard it was just fine to combine then at all of these ages, I'm sort of freaking out by the size differences lol
