Odd behavior

Ok chicken peeps, i free range my 3 chickens. 1 roo and 2 hens. My RIR went missing around 2 weeks ago, i chalked her up as becoming part of the food chain. Well she showed up last week exhibiting strange behavior. Frantic and starving for food and water, and really spooky. I cant get near her. When the other chickens come near her she puffs her feathers all up and spreads her wings, like a broody hen protecting her nest. I havent seen or heard any chicks. Do you think shes holed up somewhere with a clutch of eggs?? I will try to attach a video.

She probably is. I would try to follow her when she leaves to see where she is going. She has probably been coming around whenever you were not around.

Well, she was indeed broody. Showed up yesterday with 13 chicks!!
