This is my male duck "doing" the dog....
I was able to finally capture this on camera! He has been pestering the dog endlessly. Chance, the dog, seems oblivious of him other than the fact that he will pinch her nose and eyes if giving the opportunity. Most of the time the dog ignores him while she goes about her business of watching squirrels or monitoring the garden snake. (her fav pastimes)

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this issure with their pets. Mickey is a male call duck and has a female (Nougie) with him constantly. At first I thought he was just trying to protect his mate but then it got really weird to the point of following the dog INTO the house and getting it "on" on the couch. (which is caught on video too)
She is yawning/panting because she has her sights on the snake in the garden...

Thanks for any input you may have.

hehe, ya know, I would say this is a show of dominance on the duck's part, but being only familiar with dog behaviors, and not those of ducks or fowl of other types, I can just sit back and laugh, wondering what the heck? LOL

My dog, Dharma, and our old cat, Itchy, used to 'do it' all the time. My friends turkey used to jump him. I've never seen a duck do that though.
