Hi. I have three EE's that are about 9 months old. All have been laying since mid-December. Two of them walk around very upright with their tail feathers up. They "bend over" to eat. The third seems to walk around "scrunched down, tail feathers pointed down toward the ground. She seems to kind of "squat" down to eat. Very rarely will she get her tail feathers up.

Is this normal for some chickens? She seems to be eating fine. She is the most robust of the three.

I will try to post a picture.

Thanks for your help.

Of my three EEs, two have upright, perky, fin-like tails and one has a "droopy" tail, so I think it's just that they're built differently. And remember, EEs are hybrids mixed with other breeds, so it may depend on what went into the mix???

Wow...is this her typical look?? No, that's not normal. She's not fluffing up? Is she active? Does she stay kind of off to herself, or does she keep up with the other two? Is she still laying?? And how long has she been doing this?

oh no that's not normal. how is her poo? listen to her breathing? how is that? look to see if she has bugs or mites. feel her body are there any lumps? damage? look listen feel for anything at all that might give you a clue as to what's going on here! is she getting bullied maybe? this doesn't look right but we need more clues as to what's happening here
. good luck! please post findings.
